Shauli Einav and Christophe Girard first met in Paris, where they discovered a shared background of growing up close to nature—Shauli in Kfar-Uriyya in the Judean Hills, and Christophe in St. Leger, Burgundy. This connection quickly led to a strong musical partnership, blending their folk influences with extensive experience in jazz and classical music.

Since before the Covid pandemic, Shauli has been living in Luxembourg, where he’s reconnected with nature after years in cities like New York and Paris. Similarly, Christophe, after many years in Paris, returned to his roots in rural Burgundy. Though both perform around the world, they always appreciate returning to the quiet of these landscapes. This shared sense of serenity is amplified when they play together, as if they see the world through the same lens.
